MegaWorld using Polygon (formerly Matic Network) and Boba Network blockchains as a scalability solution for all the three gaming maps on Ethereum, TRON Network and BNB Chain to make transactions instant and eliminate gas fees for players.
Every action in the MegaWorld is a verified transaction confirmed by the smart contract on a blockchain. Ethereum network requires a Gas fee paid in ETH as a reward for miner to include the information in a block. Layer 2 PoS based sidechains allow to reduce fees and uses internal tokens to operate. MegaWorld covers all the fees on these sidechains, so players do not need a token to make transactions and connect these networks to their wallets.
MegaCryptoPolis migrated to Matic Network on Dec 10, 2020. Citizens, Pets, Appliances, Cars and Resource tokens were moved to Layer 2. Districts and Land Plots left on Layer 1 networks.

Most in-game actions (being the most gas consuming) are now performed on Layer 2. However, some operations are still managed on Layer 1 thus requiring gas fees:
Operations on Layer 2 are performed using funds from the in-game balance (not user's Layer 1 wallet). Operations on Layer 1 are performed using funds from a player's wallet (not in-game balance).
Player's in-game balance accumulates funds from all the in-game operations like:
Funds could be deposited or withdrawn from the in-game balance to a player's Ethereum wallet at any moment. This operation may require a gas fee on Ethereum network.
Land Plots and District tokens are traded on Layer 1 have income from sales to be credited directly to player's Layer 1 wallet. Citizens, Pets, Cars, Appliances and Resource tokens are traded on Layer 2 — with income from sales to be credited to player's in-game balance.
